Aon-COFCO Insurance Brokers | AI Agents Empower Insurance Brokerage and Drive a Structural Upgrade in Service Capabilities

Recently, at i-Search’s 2026 Spring Product Launch, Aon-COFCO Insurance Brokers shared a keynote titled “Insurance Brokerage in the AI Agent Era: A Structural Upgrade in Service Capabilities.”

Focusing on the transformation of the insurance brokerage industry in the AI era, the presentation demonstrated how Aon-COFCO is using AI Agents, digital employees, and intelligent center construction to help insurance brokerage services move from being driven mainly by human experience to being empowered by technology.

Aon-COFCO Insurance Brokers – Company Profile

Aon-COFCO Insurance Brokers is a joint venture established by Aon Group and COFCO Group. Its business covers insurance brokerage, reinsurance brokerage, risk management consulting, and other related fields. With more than 700 full-time professional employees, the company provides nationwide services to both corporate and individual clients.

Gu Yijing, Head of IT Business Solutions at Aon-COFCO Insurance Brokers

1. From Human-Driven Operations to Technology Empowerment, insurance Brokerage Services Are Entering the AI Agent Era

The insurance brokerage industry has long relied on consultant experience and manual processes, involving a large amount of operational work such as plan comparison, policy application processing, claims coordination, and customer communication. As client needs shift from simply “purchasing insurance” to “continuous risk operations,” traditional service models are facing challenges in efficiency, scalability, and the release of data value.

Aon-COFCO Insurance Brokers proposed a shift from “project-based delivery” to “business productization,” from “manual processes” to “process intelligence,” and from “scattered data” to “data value creation.” This means AI is no longer just a back-end tool, but is beginning to participate in risk analysis, proposal generation, customer communication, and process execution, driving a structural upgrade in insurance brokerage service capabilities.

2. Broker Assistant, enabling AI to Replace the “Hands” and Empower the “Brain”

Within Aon-COFCO Insurance Brokers’ digital employee system, the “Broker Assistant” is one of the core applications. On one hand, AI can replace the “hands” by automatically identifying and extracting key information from policies and clauses, completing repetitive tasks such as data entry, comparison, and archiving, while reducing manual copying, checking, and document review.

On the other hand, AI can also empower the “brain” by helping brokers integrate differences across insurers, regions, products, and policy clauses, and generate more suitable proposal recommendations based on client information such as industry, assets, employees, and budget. It does not replace professional consultants, but helps them complete information retrieval, logical judgment, and complex proposal simulation more efficiently.

3. AI Agent Scenario Implementation, connecting End-to-End Insurance Brokerage Business Processes

In specific business scenarios, Aon-COFCO Insurance Brokers focuses on core processes such as policy application entry, insurance detail processing, commission settlement, proposal optimization, and scoring/ranking support. Through AI Agents and digital employee capabilities, the company is upgrading the workflow from information input and rule matching to intelligent review and result output.

4. From Professional Consultants to Digital Employees, building Scalable Next-Generation Service Capabilities

The introduction of AI Agents means insurance brokerage services no longer rely solely on human experience and offline collaboration. AI Agents can participate in information recognition, document analysis, rule matching, proposal evaluation, and result output, gradually transforming consultant experience, business rules, and client data into reusable digital capabilities.

In the future, as multi-agent collaboration capabilities continue to mature, “digital employees” such as scoring/ranking agents, risk assessment agents, insurance application processing agents, and claims processing agents will gradually be integrated into the core processes of insurance brokerage.

The expertise of professional consultants will also be accumulated digitally and transformed into replicable and scalable service capabilities, driving the insurance brokerage industry toward a smarter, more efficient, and more scalable new stage.
