On May 30, the 2026 Results Release Conference for the Top 10 Information Technologies Influencing China’s Accounting Industry was grandly held at the Shanghai National Accounting Institute.

This year’s event marked the 10th anniversary of the selection. Under the theme “A Decade of Selection Builds Benchmarks, Accounting Technology Empowers the Future,” the conference brought together more than 300 industry experts, finance and accounting professionals, and enterprise representatives, with over 33,000 online viewers joining simultaneously to witness a new stage of technological evolution and intelligent transformation in China’s accounting industry.


 

As Co-Dean of the Intelligent Finance Research Institute at Shanghai National Accounting Institute and Founder & CEO of i-Search, Tang Qisong was invited to attend the ceremony and participate in the roundtable session “My Story with the Top 10 Accounting Technologies.”

Over the past decade, the Top 10 Information Technologies selection has continued to witness China’s accounting industry move from the popularization of informatization and digital upgrading into a new stage of intelligent transformation led by AI Agents.

In the 2026 list, general-purpose AI large models, financial intelligent agents and autonomous systems, as well as digital employees and process automation technologies — including RPA and IPA — ranked among the top entries. Notably, financial intelligent agents entered the list for the first time and immediately ranked fourth, showing that intelligent agent automation has become a core demand in finance and accounting transformation.


 

At the same time, this year’s selection introduced large models into the voting process for the first time. By combining the perspectives of experts, the public, and AI, it redefined the technological value of areas such as data security and intelligent applications, marking the accounting technology sector’s official entry into a new development cycle of “intelligent agent automation + compliance governance.”

During the roundtable discussion, Tang Qisong shared that, after eight years of deep engagement in financial technology, he has witnessed the full decade-long evolution of the Top 10 Information Technologies selection. The industry’s technology applications have moved from the early stage of tool-based adoption to a new stage where business and technology are deeply integrated and products are becoming more accessible.
